Ingredients
- 10 Apples Peeled and Cored
- Juice of 1/4 lemon
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups old fashioned oats,
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 sticks (1 cup) butter
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Fresh whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat over to 350 degrees
- Peel and Core 10 Cups Apples
- Sprinkle with Juice of 1/4 Lemon to Avoid Browning
- Put in 9 x 12 Pan
- Combine 1 cup white sugar, 1 tbsp flour 1 tsp ground cinnamon and sprinkle generously over apples
- Take 2 cups old fashioned oats, sprinkle with water and microwave 2 minutes
- In a bowl combine oats, 2 cups flour, 2 cups packed brown sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda with a wire wisk until all wet
- Melt 2 sticks (1 cup) butter and pour over dry mixture. Combine until crumbly
- Pour mixture over apples and bake for 45 minutes until edges bubble
- Serve with fresh whipped cream with vanilla and sugar added.
