8 chicken thighs

Spice mixture
4 cloves garlic crushed
1.5 tsp ground cumin
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp kosher salt
.5 tsp tumeric
.5 tsp paprika
.25 tsp cinnamon
black pepper to taste.

Garnish
1 cup greek olives pitted (mix of green and black is nice)
10 dried dates pitted split lengthwise
2 lemon sliced thin 1/8th in.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, covering pieces well with mixture and let sit covered for at least an hour at room temperature.

Heat a large deep skillet to medium high, add chicken skin down and cook until well browned, reduce heat to medium, turn chicken pieces over and add dates and olives then place lemon slices on top, replace lid and cook until done 15 to 20 minutes.

Done! Serve over couscous
